Stretching over more than two million hectares, the Kruger National Park is one of the world’s largest game reserves and a truly remarkable destination. Owing to its exceptional size, visitors can experience fantastic diversity – from changing scenery and ecosystems to an impressive array of animals, plant life and birdlife. The park is home to over 130 mammals and over 500 bird species. Visitors can look forward to learning about the area’s prehistoric past, enjoying a host of accommodation options, and viewing abundant wildlife including the famed Big Five. The diversity sheer density of wildlife makes Kruger National Park an unforgettable and potentially life-changing experience.

 

Overnight: Buhala Lodge     

Buhala Lodge is an enchanting colonial style thatch roof lodge, situated on the Southern banks of the Crocodile River. The ample outdoor veranda space provides all guests an opportunity to relax and dine outside while admiring gorgeous views of the Kruger National Park, and all the wildlife splendour it has to offer. Members of the Big 5 are frequent visitors to our property along with many other species such as a variety of antelope.

The lodge is a family owned and run business which focuses on guest comfort and relaxation paired with all the luxury you would expect.

A fully licenced restaurant and bar is situated at the main building. Buhala Lodge is well known for fine cuisine and our exceptional wine list showcasing only the finest South African wines. Meals are served either al fresco on our veranda, or in our gracious dining room and the whole ambiance is one of casual elegance.

Our guests have the rare opportunity to play golf at the exclusive Leopard Creek Country Club. The golf course, usually reserved for members only, offers players a wildlife experience while challenging their golfing skills on South Africa’s number one golf course.

Safari’s into the Kruger National Park are arranged and done by our very experienced guide. Early morning walks and even night drives can also be arranged.

Our open deck bush spa with sweeping views over the Kruger National Park and the Crocodile River, provide a variety of treatments for those who wish to relax after a long day.

Leopard Creek Country Club is a luxury private golf estate that overlooks Crocodile River, in the farming town of Malalane, Mpumalanga. The golf course’s proximity to Kruger National Park often results in sightings of crocodile, hippo, antelope, buffalo, and elephant. Facilities include an elegant clubhouse with a lounge, a bar, a patio, and a terrace.

Kruger National Park Morning Game Drive is an approximately 3-4-hour tour of the Kruger National Park. The tour begins at about 04.30am in summer and 05.30am in winter.
